Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology is a fully residential Institute located in Sector-3 at Dwarka , New
Delhi. It was established in 1983 by Delhi administration with the approval of the Govt. of India to meet the growing
demand of manpower in high-tech areas of Engineering & Technology. The institute became autonomous in 1987.
With in a span of 28 years since its inception, NSIT has carved a name for itself and it is now an
established institute with well equipped modern Laboratories, well laid down `Profile of Growth` and a strong

Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area (as
detailed at point No. V & Vi above) of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology (in accordance with Ordinance VI-B,
University of Delhi) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate.
Candidates having only M.Sc. degree (without M.Tech. or M. Phil degree) will be required to complete
course work as detailed in ordinance VI B of University of Delhi. However, if the candidate has qualified any of
the national level fellowship exams for example, CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT/DST, Inspire fellowship or GATE
examination after Master’s degree he/she will not have to undergo any course work.
The candidates possessing Master degree with 60% or more marks who are eligible for Ph.D. degree as
per ordinance VI B of University of Delhi may also apply for admission for Ph.D. degree but they will be admitted
without scholarship and they will be required to comply with the other formalities of ordinance VI B displayed on
Institute website and will be selected through a written test followed by Powerpoint Presentation and Interview.
A written test will be organized on department level which will have multiple choice questions. The
selection of the candidate shall be made by the selection committee of the respective department on the basis
of the performance of the candidate in written test, power point presentation and Interview (the weight age will
be in the ratio of 20 : 30 : 50). Interviews will be held in Oct./Nov. 2011.
Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the
University of Delhi for Ph.D registration as per University Rules.
Candidate appearing in the qualifying exams must ensure that their final results (with requisite marks) are
declared before the date of Interview (probably in Oct./Nov. 2011) otherwise they will not be allowed to appear
before the selection board.
Selected candidates shall be required to deposit institute fee and other charges immediately at the time
of registration for which he/she will be intimated before the date of registration well-before-the time. The amount
payable by him/her will be in DD/cash as per rule. Limited hostel accommodation is available which will be
provided to students subject to availability.
No TA/DA will be admissible to the applicants called for written Test/Interview.
