Bringing an end to all the hype surrounding the motorcycle, Honda today unveiled the CBR250R in Mumbai where it also announced the official pricing of the motorcycle. The non-ABS version of the CBR250R is priced at Rs. 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs. 1.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the fully loaded ABS version. The bike will be available with select 400 Honda dealerships in the country and in three colour options – red, black and silver. This has been one of the most sought-after motorcycles to roll out of the Honda factory in India and it has already registered over 2500 bookings since the bookings commenced in January 2011 despite no official announcement on prices from Honda until today.
In the case of the CBR250R the speculated pricing was on the higher side of the actual pricing announced by Honda, which is going to make a lot of Indian bikers very happy. Powered by a single cylinder 250cc DOHC engine with 4-valves, fuel injection and liquid cooling, the CBR250R is going to be one cracker of a machine at a supremely alluring price-point that no other motorcycle in the current Indian two-wheeler bazaar offers. The motorcycle can do a top-whack of about 160km/h and its estimated 0-100km/h sprint time is expected to be somewhere around eight seconds.
